When I was approached by The Japan Exchange and Teaching Alumni Association (JETAA) Toronto Chapter to create origami art as a gift for a friend of the association, I was thrilled. They were after all kind enough to accept my donated art piece for the silent auction at their Toronto Benefit Concert. That night was special for me because not only was I able to contribute to a good cause (100% of the proceeds of the sale went to Japan Earthquake/Tsunami aid), it was Tiny Paper Cranes first public endeavour. I was extremely flattered and encouraged by the nice things people who approached me said about that art piece.
I was pretty speechless when I saw the new art piece I created on the Consulate-General of Japan in Toronto website: http://www.toronto.ca.emb-japan.go.jp/english/about-us/cg-message/cg-message.html
Consul-General Yamashita, thank you for honouring Tiny Paper Cranes with your picture and Toronto with your kind words and your visit. Have a safe journey home.

My God, now I know who was the artist!
It is indeed eloquent expression of compassion.
Thank you for making it.
I’m glad you liked it. Thank you for your kind words.
