Tiny Paper Cranes is a movement that was inspired by Dr. Haydee Flor, surgeon, teacher & humanitarian.  It’s meant to encourage the ideology that great things can be achieved by adding together many tiny positive gestures.

Haydee was the kind of person who brought out the best in everyone else.  She cared about all people and had no discriminations.   She was a shoulder to cry on and someone you could get honest life advice from.

She volunteered for many causes and acquired useful skills while giving back.   Like learning braille (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) and sign language (Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf) and general home improvement (Habitat for Humanity).  Saving the environment was her passion.  She never missed a blood donation appointment.

She was really good at math.  And she taught me (and others) origami.   She was my mama.
